News from committee
April
Proved to be a very busy month, Players signing on for the season, moving outside for training, league fixtures announced, first cut of the outfield and generally getting spruced up and excited for the coming season
Cricket force weekend
Brought us all together as volunteers to prepare for the approaching season.
We had very aspirational plans which included, painting the club house, getting the electronic score board up and working, building and completing walls, erecting a fence around the garage and score board to prevent accidents, resurfacing parts of the car park and building from scratch two new site screens.
We thank you the volunteers and a number of organisations who donated their time and resources to help us achieve these objectives
Change of alcohol supplier
We have agreed a new supplier of ales and lager which we believe with added support will help us maintain the quality of product, keen pricing whilst also maintaining our profitability. (Our bar is one of our major fund raisers enabling the financing of heating oil, electricity etc.) Within this new relationship we have secured further funding and a commitment to supply furniture for extra outside seating
Fund raising event
We require non cricket events to raise finance to pay for cricket balls, maintaining the ground, both capital equipment such as machinery, fuel oil, grass seed, feed and weed killing. Funds to invest in equipment and training of coaches for juniors’ playing teams and purchasing of furniture and the materials to refresh and maintain the club house
